Gizmodo Leaks Apple iPhone 4G
Gray Powell is the unfortunate Apple Software Engineer who left his iPhone 4G device at a bar in Redwood City, and Gizmodo apparently paid someone 5000 dollars for it. Gizmodo held on to the mystery device before publishing an article that detailed their finders keepers prototype. Apple wants it back. Gizmodo gave a detailed report on lost device and the new features as well as industrial design of the device.
New physical features of the iPhone 4G model:
* Front-facing video chat camera
* Improved regular back-camera (the lens is quite noticeably larger than the iPhone 3GS)
* Camera flash
* Micro-SIM (Like one used in iPad and not standard SIM)
* Improved display that is slightly smaller than the one in iPhone 3GS but may support higher resolution
* Secondary Mic for noise cancellation at the top, next to the headphone jack
* Separate buttons for volume up and down
* Metallic buttons for power, mute, and volume functions
We’ll see if Apple responds to the leak by releasing more details early, or maybe trashing the whole thing and starting from scratch with a new design. I hope not, because this one looks awesome.
